Not Sure which of you Anonymous is.
The code does send the whole NMEA packet out via serial to the Arduino terminal (over the FTDI cable).

The LED on the GPS blinks slowly during standard acquisition, (after cold start,etc..)

After the "GPS-A-Sketch v.01" text and a quick double chirp, it should go to a UTC: LAT: LON: screen. LAT and LON will likely be blank until triangulation can be determined. I'll talk more about this on Saturday.

As far as facebook, I'd rather keep any public information in one place until there are more users. Try to keep things here. If there's enough use, we can upgrade to a better forum system with a file repository. This will make hunting for information MUCH easier for future builders, and upgrading the forums a much cleaner transition for the rest of us.

oops, i reversed the gps rx and tx wires when building so i just changed the program. Reversing the assignment of pin 7 and 8 in the sketch saved me from having to resolder the wires.

everything is working except for the led. i am very happy.
